IndiGo chaos: The development comes on a day the DGCA has summoned IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers to question him on the restoration of operations and the recruitment process.

Is Indigo a avaitation defaulter?

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has dismissed four flight operations inspectors as part of its crackdown following the massive flight disruptions at IndiGo. The development comes on a day the aviation regulator has summoned IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers to question him on the restoration of operations and the recruitment process after crew shortages were identified as the trigger behind the massive operational collapse.

The four operations inspectors were directly responsible for overseeing the functioning of IndiGo, India’s largest airline. The DGCA, however, has not stated any reason behind the sackings. Flight operations inspectors are tasked with monitoring operational compliance and safety.
